We are working with young adults to deliver an empowering and engaging work placement as part of an accredited Traineeship. Through embedding a focus on teamwork, confidence and communication into the work, our trainees will gain skills and confidence while having a positive impact on the amount of food grown locally around London.
The enterprise is being incubated by community gardening charity Forest Farm Peace Garden, who have allocated 0.75 acres of land to the Audacious Veg, and are hosting the Traineeship programme as a project of the charity. Meanwhile, Audacious Veg Community Interest Company will be conducting trading activities- finding customers for our delicious local produce, harvesting and delivering.
There are plenty of ways you can become part of our community
Can you donate materials?
We’re always looking for:
- Manure! Horse, sheep, cow or chicken are all great
- Bulk amounts of organic waste: vegetable peelings, coffee grounds, even hair!
- Large cardboard boxes/sheets
- Straw, grass cuttings, leaves
Can you donate your time?
One of our key values is volunteering placements that are well supported, meaningful and rewarding. We aim to give our volunteers access to training, networking opportunities and fun. By becoming part of the Audacious Veg team, you will have a chance to meet people and make friends, gain new skills, grow your CV and get a warm fuzzy feeling from making the world a better place.
