WEEKLY VOLUNTEERING get diggy with it!

Every Thursday June - October
11am - 4pm
One of our key values is volunteering placements that are well supported, meaningful and rewarding. We aim to give our volunteers access to training, networking opportunities and most importantly a fun time out.

You'll have the chance to get stuck in at our market garden and learn how to grow and care for plants, learn new skills and techniques and foster new relationships. Tasks vary throughout the season, but you can expect propagating new plants, weeding, transplanting seedlings, pruning, garden maintenance and much more.

  • This would suit anyone able to commit on a weekly basis but is also open to casual drop-in sessions that work around your schedule too
  • Once you register your interest, we'll arrange a chat so we can talk you through our site, the in's and out's of volunteering and give you a chance to see if it's a good fit for you.
  • From there, we'll invite you to an induction day and get stuck in!

LEND US A HELPING HAND remote & casual volunteering

Want to get involved but can't make it onsite weekly? Well we've got plenty of remote tasks for you to get stuck into and would love you become apart of the Audacious Team.

BECOME A VOLUNTEER MENTOR  and help our trainees grow

Mentor 1-3 young adults

This is a role for someone who is passionate about people's opportunities and have an interest in supporting their progression. Mentoring can open doors, support people through the complexities that life and work brings and encourages people to realise their full potential and achieve their goals. By becoming a mentor you can play a vital role in helping to develop our trainees. You'll help them build that important support network and  make a profound difference in their lives.

We are looking for volunteers from a range of backgrounds and experience within land-based industries, or casual gardening is an added bonus, but most importantly you'll be eager to work with young people finding their feet and establishing their careers.

THE WEEKEND DIG the mini garden party

Last Saturday of the month* May - September
11am - 4pm Summer

Once a month in summer we host an open day designed to give those unable to make it in the weekdays, a chance to get outdoors and get stuck into a bit of gardening.

The sessions are laid back and a chance to get out, meet others from the local community and immerse yourself in the great outdoors.  It's also a great chance to bring the family along, do some gardening and explore the Forest Farm site.

Throughout the season we'll also hold workshops and skills sharing sessions, such as decorating plant pot with children, sowing seeds for take-home plants, or learning how to use edible flowers in your cooking.

*September's session is the 3rd Sat of the month
